Watching DVD on Flat TVs is More Affordable
DVD copies of the latest and past movie favorites are a great solution for those who do not want the stress related to watching in cinemas.
Take for example the cost, depending on the movie presentation; the regular cost would already be expensive for the costs would also include popcorn, soda, and other kibbles and nibbles. So it could get pretty expensive.
Then there are the theatre undesirables. Some shout, some make comments, some are too tall, some are just plain irritants, so it could lower the quality of the movie even if it were Twilight or Harry Potter. This is where the DVD and the Flat TVs come in handy.
All you need to do is either to rent or to buy the movie copy, insert it into the player and within minutes the movie watching experience is relieved from the movie undesirables and the high costs of snacks. In fact, one pack of popcorn can last several movie nights and the soda can even be the favorites rather than the rule in cinemas.
What makes it better, the movie can be rewound, zoomed in and all other nifty features the DVD player comes with. Rewinding is my favourite feature, this way I can just listen to the conversation I missed out or just keep going back to that one or two scenes which steal the whole show. These are the features which cannot be done in movies.
Now regarding those 3D movies, there are now great flat TVs which can be adjusted to the 3D mode. These flat TVs were expensive when they first came out but there are now a lot on sale which comes with free home theatre and DVD players.
The home theatre greatly improves the movie watching experience on TV. Watching Avatar for the first time at home showed me immediately that the distraction in the theatre made me miss out a lot of lines and action. And how about Lord of the Rings 2, when Legolas jumped fluidly onto the back of the horse behind Gimli? I totally missed that in the movie when I watched it, thanks to the guy in front who kept on belching.
I now find watching movies in theatres a total waste of time, although I still do. What I prefer is buying or renting the DVD copy and just relax in bed and watch my favorites on TV. What's even better, I can pause the darned thing. Amazing feature most appreciated.
